Choose your preferred mode of transportation from Chiang Mai international airport to the city. The conference venue provides airport pick-up and drop off with additional charge.
From the arrival hall, take exit 2, turn left and walk 50 meters. Check out the route details in the pictures below. As of now, the physical bus stop signs are available for their major stops but not for the entire route. There is an official website (RTC city bus dot com) where you can check out more about the route. Note that more recent updates are being communicated through their facebook page (RTC Chiang Mai City Bus) which is mostly in Thai.
Contact the information desk on the 1st floor in the arrival hall. Chiang Mai international airport provides both airport taxis with a flat rate fare and metered taxis with a 50 baht additional fee. Taxis in Thailand are colorful.
A Red Pickup Truck known as Rod Daeng/ Songtaew is another popular local transportation. It is a local shared taxi that picks up and drops off passengers along the way. The fare starts at 40 baht or more based on destinations. Fare negotiation before boarding is recommended and the fare is paid upon arrival. Rod Daeng often drops off passengers at the departure area before picking up the arrival passengers and that explains why it might not be available during late hours.
Getting a ride through an online application: Grab Taxi, Bolt, InDrive, Maxim, TADA From the airport, there is a dedicated pick up stop for Grab passengers inside the airport. For the rest of the applications, it is recommended to choose the pick up spot outside the airport and walk to meet your driver there.
